Who is behind Kaz Ito, and how do I reach you?
This site, my books and my membership all run under one name: Kaz Ito.
For anything about your data, write to kazito@clubhousepublishers.com. That one address handles privacy, refunds and questions too.
When you just look around
Does this site follow me with cookies while I browse?
Not at all. This website has no on-site sign-ups, data-entry fields or accounts. There are no advertising cookies, no tracking pixels and no Google or Facebook trackers. I don't run analytics scripts either.
The site is hosted by Cloudflare. Cloudflare handles your IP address so the pages load and stay protected.
Links from my videos
What happens when I tap a link or scan a QR code from a video?
Those links show me which videos actually help anglers. When you use one, I record the time, the video or link it came from, the page it opened, and your country.
I also keep a scrambled code made from your IP address. The IP address itself is never stored, and the code can't be turned back into it.
One small cookie lasts 30 days. It only remembers which version of the book page you saw, so it looks the same if you come back. That's the only cookie this site sets. Hotmart's checkout has its own cookies under Hotmart's policy.
When you buy through Hotmart
If I buy a book, join the club or buy the $1 gift, what do you see about me?
Your purchase email reaches me only when you buy through Hotmart: a book, the club or the $1 gift. It is used to deliver what you bought and, for club members, the weekly letters. You pay on a secure checkout page run by Hotmart. Hotmart collects your name, email, billing and payment details. I never see your card number.
Hotmart tells me your email, what you bought, the price, your country and which video or link brought you. For book orders, I keep a scrambled version of your email, not the email itself.
When you join The Kaizen Club
What do you keep about me as a member?
Hotmart passes me your name, email, country, time zone, membership status and dates, and which video or link you came from. I keep these to send your weekly fishing letter.
My letters also tell me whether they were delivered and which links inside them you clicked. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in a letter. Unsubscribing stops the emails; to stop club payments, cancel your subscription at consumer.hotmart.com.
When you write to me
What happens to the questions I send you?
I keep your message and your email so I can answer you.
The full raw copy of the email is deleted after 90 days. I keep the text of the message so our conversation makes sense next time.
A little AI help with replies
Do you use AI to answer my letters?
Sometimes. An AI writing assistant may help me draft replies to prepare a reply. Your message is used only for that.
What I use it for
Why do you keep any of this at all?

You can unsubscribe from the letters at any time using the link in an email.
What I'll never do
Do you sell my details to anyone?
Absolutely not. I don't sell or rent your personal information, and I don't share it for advertising.

Who else handles my details for you?
Three, and each has its own privacy policy.
Hotmart handles payments, book delivery and membership billing. Resend sends my emails. Cloudflare hosts the site, stores my data and receives the email you send me.
Your calls to make
How do I stop emails, or see and delete my data?
Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link. You can also reply with the word “unsubscribe”.
Wherever you live in the US, California included, you can ask to see, correct or delete your data. Write to kazito@clubhousepublishers.com.
Hotmart keeps its own purchase records, as the law requires.
How long I keep things
How long do you hold on to my information?
Membership details stay while you're a member, and until you ask me to delete them.
If you unsubscribe, I keep only a scrambled “do not email” note, so you're never emailed again. Order records stay as long as the law requires.
Grown-ups only
Is this site meant for children?
This one is for grown-ups. My books and membership are for adults. I don't knowingly collect data from children under 13.
If this page changes
How will I know if this policy changes?
I'll update this page and change its “Last updated” date.
